IDAHO SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL
AMPHITHEATER & RESERVE
SITE & FACILITIES -
The Idaho Shakespeare Festival Amphitheater, Interpretive
Center & Reserve along with William Shakespeare Park are situated on 12 1/2 acres adjacent
to the Boise River in East Boise just East of Harris Ranch. The site emcompasses the Festival Amphitheater and box
office, the Interpretive Center building with adjoining patios, public entrance walkways and plaza, and the William Shakespeare
Park.
The entire property is available to rent for Corporate
and Private Retreats, Corporate Dinner events, Weddings & Receptions, meetings, luncheons and
various other events. (Note- Due to limited date availability, we do not grant bookings for Weddings only without
an accompanying booking for the Reception.)

Amphitheater -
The ISF Amphitheater is a unique outdoor theater with reserved lawn chair and box seating
space for up to 612 people and accommodates 100 more in an open "on the grass" hillside area for a total seating capacity
of 712. The Amphitheater is available for rent along with the Interpretive Center for an additional rental fee.
Interpretive Center -
A stone fireplace flanks the spacious 1,180 Sq. ft. main hall in
this facility. Windows grace the entire South side of the structure, overlooking Barber Pool. The Interpretive
Center, including the main hall, the smaller glass enclosed board room, and lobby area, can accommodate
indoor gatherings of up to 100 people.
The adjoining patios seat an additional
125 and the brick plaza located between the Interpretive Center and the Amphitheater
will accommodate an additional 175 people for a total event seating capacity of over 400.
A full commercial catering kitchen and outdoor Cafe' operated by Lisa Peterson Catering are
also on site to provide event services.
Seating Details -
*Inside Seating Capacities: Approximately 100
**Outside Seating Capacities: Approximately 300
*Note - 3 ea. 6 foot and 3 ea. 8 foot banquet tables onsite.
**Note- Onsite metal furniture may be used indoors or out. Outside patios can be "tented"
to provide cover for approximately 100 more guests to accomodate larger groups year round. Tent rental fees will apply.
William Shakespeare Park -
Situated on over 4 1/2 acres adjacent to the Boise River, Barber Pool and the Idaho
Shakespeare Interpretive Center is the William Shakespeare Park. The park has a natural setting providing
wildlife habitat along with more than nine seperate "stone" picnic sites. This park, while on private property, is managed
as a public facility and as such is open year round for public use and access.
AVAILABILTY & SEASONALITY -
June through September - (Theatre
Season)
The annual Shakespeare Season extends from June 1st through October
1st, with plays being performed six nights each week. During this time, the facilities are available
to rent for "Daytime" events only with attendees being off site by 4 PM to accomodate the evening
performances.
October through May -
During the non-theatre season (October through May) all facilities may
be rented for both daytime and evening events based on calendar availability.
Self Tour the Site -
For those unfamiliar with the site, we reccomend that you "self tour" the Festival grounds before
contacting us to familiarize yourself with the venue. The four and one-half acre William Shakespeare Park at
the far end of the twelve acre grounds remains open to the public at all times. In addition, the Festival
on site Box Office is now open year round Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. A quick check with the
box office staff will determine if there are any events in session. If not, a walking self tour will
acquaint you with the entire facility with the exception of going inside the IC which houses the Main Hall and Board Room
where indoor events are held.

all public rooms, rest rooms, adjoining patios and grounds):

Additional Items -
Facility Rental Agreement - A Rental Agreement is issued at the time your event is booked and your date is placed on the calendar. The rental fee is due in full at the time the contract is signed and returned. Dates are not guaranteed until payment has been received. Once your event is booked, other requests for rental of the facility for that date are refused. For that reason, should you cancel your booking at any time, your facility rental fee is NON-refundable.
ONSITE CATERING SERVICES - Lisa Peterson Catering -
Lisa Peterson Catering operates Cafe' Shakespeare and is the Festival
sites exclusive caterer year round. All requests for information regarding catering and food services

Directions to the Idaho Shakespeare Festival -
The Parking - Parking is plentiful
and located adjacent to the Festival Amphitheater. A convenient "drop off" zone for patrons is located at the main entrance,
